The SCH system has been primarily developed by Dr. Kathi Mooney at the University of Utah College of Nursing since 2000 as a tool for home symptom monitoring for cancer patients and their family caregivers. SCH is currently being used in studies of patients with Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN), Heart Disease, Myasthenia Gravis, and Post-Covid Syndrome.
